What Customers Say About Spore:

No, it is not some highly involved RPG game but I'm not into those games anyway. My brother recommended this game from my daughter for our 15 hour drive home. I'm now going to have to buy the extension packs. I installed it on my laptop and played it to be sure it was child appropriate and got addicted. It's FUN. I guess it all has to do with what type of game you like. Usually, I agree with users reviews on Amazon but not on this one.

Spore has been hailed as one of the great games of our time, as well as an astounding look at evolution. However, as far as being being entertaining, Spore not only failed to raise the bar of video games, it tripped and fell before it got to wherever the proverbial bar is.The entire game can be completed in less than an hour, after you reach the space age you just fly in circles doing random boring 'go to place x and get y' missions, if you seek to be friends with a neighboring planet; if you want to destroy them you do just that. After upgrading your ship even slightly, you can lay waste to any enemy you come across.Over all the funnest part is customization, but even that gets old after the 15th time you add a pair of legs to your creature. And the expansion pretty much only adds to the customization part of the game.Gameplay: 3/10 (Overly simple, repetitive)Sound: 4/10 (The little sound you do hear starts off cute/entertaining, but gets irritating fast)Graphics: 7/10 (cartoonish and rarely complex)Mechanics: 9/10 (Just the fact that all the body parts work correctly warrants a 9)Replayability: 1/10 (After you make a creature that is aggressive all the way through and one that is nice all the way through, theres nothing left to do)

Ok, let me start by saying this. Overall, the game is nearly flawless. I'm excited to move on to the space stage and be able to explore other player created content.

I mean, has there really ever even been a game created that's so different as this one is. And to all the people having problems with installing the game on more than 3 computers, that's just sad. This game rocks.

Also, the customization is implemented very well. To be able to create your own alien civilization(of coarse, after you complete the other stages)is just mind blowing. So far, I'm on the civilization stage of the game and have had a lot of fun.

All you need to put it on is one computer, your home computer or laptop. I would highly recommend it to anyone(especially to those with a wild imagination).

In this game you can have three diets: herbavore, carnivore, and omnivore, that will change your evolution througe the game. Then you evolve all the way to space stage and make your way to the center of the galixy. You start at stage one, the cell stage. All in all there are five stages in the game: cell, creature, tribe, civalation, and space. You have no limits to your creativity and ability in this game even though you have only three computer activations. But it is not like you are going to play the game on more then three computers. And with the new expansion pack you have one more stage added to that. So, get the game it is worth the money.

I was given SPORE by my kids for Father's Day, and had a blast playing it. I was addicted for a couple of hours, and then let my kids set-up creatures and they were begging to play too. They are 9 and 11, and couldn't get enough.
